Travel from Marrakech to Essaouira by air-conditioned vehicle, stop to visit an Argan Co-operative and on arrival, immerse yourself in the historical port town — a melting pot of Berber, African and Portuguese influences.

Essaouira will surprise you with its charms. You will be seduced by its architecture where the pink ocher of its ramparts contrasts with the whiteness of the houses, where the rectilinear streets are burning with human warmth.

DETAILED PROGRAM:

The departure to Essaouira will be from Marrakech at 8 a.m. and it will take 3 hours to arrive there. After your arrival to the port city Mogador, you will have a complete visit to enjoy the charming places of Essaouira such as its walls with color ocher, its beautiful square Moulay El Hassan, the Souks, without forgetting the little streets of its old medina . You will also be able to have a nice lunch of fresh fish in local restaurants.

Essaouira is located at 175 km from Marrakech, it is sea-side medieval city with an old portuguese harbour. Essaouira, the old Mogador, is known for its annual festival of "Gnawa music", its medina is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. A day trip from Marrakech to Essaouira makes visitors plaisant thanks to its climate and the variety of Essaouira's highlights that they visit : Place Moulay El Hassan, The Skala, the harbour, the ramparts the Jewish distcrit called "Derb Lealouj".
